Jessa's First Pictures

My youngest girl, Jessa, is the family smile pot. She's all about being goofy and having fun. It's very rare for her to sit down and actually concentrate on anything (she like to run in circles saying, "Doh-Dee-Doh-Dee-Rarr," and such) and watching her draw makes me laugh. I love that she was able to concentrate enough to finish these two pieces. Enjoy!

Illustration Friday - Elissa - Layers

I'm so excited because Elissa is finally learning to draw on the Wacom Tablet. She's been getting discouraged, but was able to color some. This is a really big step and an opening into a wonderful world for her. Here is her picture for Illustration Fridays word, Layers.

Elissa - Hug a Bug

Here's the first drawing by my second Daughter, Elissa. This isn't just the first picture she's done for this blog, but it's the first picture that she's been happy enough for me to scan. Praying this will build up her confidence and keep her drawing super pictures :)

Welcome to Set Apart Kids Art

Welcome to the artistic outpourings of Maria, Elissa, Jessa and Noah (+ 1 more on the way). My name is Rick (aka Daddy) and I couldn't be any prouder of my 4 kids and their love for creation. We are a happy, joy-filled Christian home, and nothing could be more flattering to the Father then to imitate Him. I began this site to give them an outlet for the things they create. Some is done during Home School art time, some for Illustration Friday, and some just for the fun of it. We appreciate you visiting and would love you to come by often and be blessed. Here is a taste of what's to come.

The number 5 is how old she is, and the digital is what medium it is. Some pictures will be drawn straight to Photoshop, and others will be on paper and then scanned. Other, non flat pieces, will be photographed.

Again, we hope this site blesses you, encourages you to see that you're never to young (or old) to start something, and over all just puts joy into your heart.

Matthew 18: 1-4 ESV

At that time the disciples came to Jesus, saying, "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?" And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, "Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
